Because of the 2013-14 ammo panic, it's been over a year since I've had the correct ammo for this little gun, however. So, it's effectively a clumsy single-shot right now. Beretta designed this pistol without an extractor, so even if I tried lightening the recoil spring, it would still go into "extraction" failures toward the end of the first magazine between chamber cleanings. I'm not sure which is more important, the high energy of the CCI Stinger, or the lubricity of the nickel plated CCI casings, but both seem to play a role in making this design work. I might try lubricating the cartridges, like the Japanese did with their WWII era machine gun ammo, just for kicks.
I would complain about this gun's quirks, but I won it, brand new, with a single 20 dollar raffle ticket. Man, that made me grin like an idiot.
